LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann's four children are struggling in the middle of their contentious breakup. Their children Kroy Jr, 11, Kash, 10, and nine-year-old twins Kaia and Kane "are old enough to know what's going on. And they don't like it" a source said regarding the duo's nasty split.

The former Atlanta Falcons player and the 'Tardy for the Party' singer are still living together in Georgia in their $2.5 million mansion amid their divorce proceedings. "Kim and Kroy are living on different sides of the home, crossing over in the kitchen yelling and screaming at each other in the night," the source revealed, according to OK Magazine.

Zolciak and Biermann 'want the house and everything in it'

While talking about the couple's current relationship status the source stated that they are not living in harmony in their million-dollar mansion. The insider said the pair "want the house and everything in it, including expensive art pieces and furniture. They’re even bickering over knickknacks."

"The feeling among their friends is there’s no need for all this unpleasantness and they need to stop using their kids in their legal wrangling. It’s not healthy," the source added and pointed out that their children are struggling in the middle of their fight. "It’s sad for the kids, who are stuck in the middle of this mess," said the source.

What led to Zolciak and Biermann's divorce?

An insider close to the couple previously revealed to Daily Mail that their financial troubles were the reason behind their divorce after 11 years of marriage. The pair have been held accountable for non-payment of taxes amounting to $1.1 million.

"Kroy did everything for Kim. He was her manager, her assistant, and her husband. She leaned on him for so many years and relied on him for everything. She also took him for granted and she blamed him when their financial situation went to hell," the source told the media outlet.

After the announcement of their divorce, another issue involving their finances came to light. The ‘Don’t Be Tardy’ star couple did not file their IRS in 2013, 2017, and 2018, and had been tax defaulters for three years. The issue led to a tax payment of $1.1 million dollars left for them to pay. Notably, their current shared home in Georgia was up for foreclosure and was under contention. The source also revealed that their financial issues "haven't stopped since" and their marriage gradually failed over the years.
