Is Lisa Vanderpump selling Villa Rosa? Debt-ridden star took out $20M in mortgages on Beverly Hills mansion amid rumors of Vegas move

BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Lisa Vanderpump has piled up a massive $19 million mortgage on her Beverly Hills property amid rumors that the reality star may sell it to relocate to Las Vegas. The Bravo favorite purchased the house with her husband Ken Todd in 2011 for just under $12 million, and The US Sun can disclose that she's burdened it with three massive home loans since then.

In May 2023, Lisa decided not to extend the lease on her West Hollywood hotspot Pump Restaurant Lounge, which will close on July 5 after a decade in business due to the high rent. The pair also owns two restaurants in Las Vegas -- Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, and Vanderpump a Paris. Podcaster Ryan Bailey alleges they are planning a third. On his 'So Bad It's Good' podcast on May 31, Ryan stated, "Lisa seems to always be there [in Vegas], she’s hinted at opening another place in Vegas, she let the lease go for Pump, Pump is done. From all things I’ve been thrown that Villa Rosa has been sold off the market, so why would she be selling her house, selling Pump, there is a little bit of play in this for me, they are getting older, Vegas is this huge opportunity, three restaurants already potentially out there… could they split?"

Lisa took out multiple mortgages on 'Villa Rosa'

In August 2015, the power couple borrowed $6,225,400 from Banc of California, then in May 2017, they borrowed another $6,350,000 from JPMorgan Chase Bank. A second one was obtained in November 2019 for the same sum as Deutsche Bank Trust Company America. In total, they borrowed $18,925,400, about $7 million more than they spent for the home called Villa Rosa, which has five bedrooms and seven baths spread across two acres.

It is unknown whether Lisa and Ken repaid any of the loans because the information is not available in public records. Fans, however, have alleged that they have surreptitiously sold the property in an off-market deal in order to relocate to Las Vegas, as podcaster Ryan suspected. He believes she has dumped the pad, and VPR followers have grabbed on this, noting he's been correct on prior Bravo show rumors, which adds to his credibility.

Lisa to launch new series set at her French Villa

Lisa's next series will take viewers to France. According to Deadline, the reality star said that Hulu has ordered ten episodes of 'Vanderpump Villa', an unscripted reality program set in her lavish French property. According to the site, the show will follow the villa's staff members as they live and work together at Vanderpumps' European home and will provide a look into their life as they cater to the location's expensive guests.

The series' launch date has yet to be announced. Lisa will be the executive producer behind the program, and it will also be produced by Bunim/Murray Productions, which has been behind shows including 'Lizzo's Watch Out for the Big Grrrls', 'Surviving Bear Grylls', 'The Family Stallone' and 'The Challenge'. Lisa is represented by Entertainment 360, a talent and literary management business that is also mentioned as a producer on the show.
