Ford Motor is preparing for a new round of layoffs for its salaried workers in the United States, the Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Ford did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
According the report, the cuts are expected to affect employees at the Detroit automaker's gas, electric-vehicle and software units.
The report also added that the number of people to be affected in the latest round could not be learned.
